Thanks, all ordered. Fingers crossed it is the last faulty thing on the board.
Already replaced the bridge rectifier, relays, all caps and a few resistors. PCB traces also resembled a war zone, pit marks from explosive copper vaporisation littered the board. Not a pretty fix but first major repair undertaken in 20 years. Diagnosed the initial fault to a dry solder joint on a resistor on the gas flow on/off circuit (nowhere near the area of damage after it was "repaired") looks like the high voltage from the welding transformer somehow made its mark on the main PCB.
Geratly appreciate the help, after all the work I have put into it, didnt want to suff it up at the final component.
