Title: Ideas for mini (low) power sources?
Post by: CyberWalker on July 12, 2013, 07:08:57 pm
My greetings to the honorable members of EEVBlog!  :)

I just recently got asked to contribute into a project that involves the low powering of a wireless sensor network which will be all custom made and designed/built from the ground up. It involves a research product of hundreds of engineers, each one contributing on the respective field of their expertise.

My part has to do with the research on low power electric sources (let it be wind turbines or photovoltaic cells, etc... maybe sth like geothermal) so I would like some links or advice for anything useful you may have in mind. :-)

THANK YOU very much!!!

Shahriar at The Signal Path recently did a very interesting video about energy harvesting ICs along with practical demonstrations:

Each device you must work with will likely require a specialized device or circuit solution..be more specific when you know clearly what some of your exact goals are.

Dear mariush and Paul Price, thank you very much for your quick replies! :-)

@mariush : yes, I find this video very very useful, this is exactly the kind of information that I would need for that stage.

@Paul Price : yes, I could be more specific if I knew the specs, but the project is being shaped (and will be shaped) until the very last day (two years project), so ANY relevant information available (like mariush's) can be accounted as most valuable right now! :) Again, thank you VERY VERY much!!!
