| [Solved] Identify NEC BI0474 734P902 -8 chip |
| (1/1) |
| Retirednerd2020:
I have a bunch of these from a Gould logic analyzer tear-down. They appear to be memory devices, I think -8 is probably 8nS speed. Does anyone have a data sheet on these? I couldn't find anything using the usual searches. PN may be B10474 vs BI0474. These are 24 Pin ceramic DIP devices. My guess is that they are static memory but only a guess. Thank you for your help. |

Pictures would help... |

Data is thin on the web, but uPB10474 seems to be a 1kx4-bit 10K ECL RAM. Found this, though. |

Thank you jhpadjustable! Try as I might I could not find that datasheet. I think I even looked at Datasheetcatalog.com, must have typed it wrong... That is the correct part data as it fits with the rest of the ECL logic on the board and power/ground locations etc. The ones I have appear to be a prior generation or maybe just a slower speed than the datasheet shows. Case closed! amyk - No pics, sorry. Away on travel right now. It is a narrow cerdip with a shiny steel center cover. Marked "NEC" and with the numbers I included above. |

I always find it amusing how almost every chip is marketed with "Low power" on datasheet page no 1. "Low power - 1.6 W". [Of course this is actually reasonable for ECL, but there really isn't anything "low power" about ECL devices in general]. |
