Yes, I know, that is not the one we use in my country.
These are used world wide. Again, this is not the wall outlet side, this is the socket that is on the unit. Virtually every electrical device is using these.

Tatus put in the wrong image - that's the female version of the plug, as seen on the back of UPSes and the like.

Actually, I am the one who posted the correct picture of our power plugs. And of course I know what and where they are used, or I would not have made my first comment. :)

Thanks, I related the picture to the wrong post. But that's confusing me, why do you say that this is not the one that is used in your country? The C13 socket is an international standard issued by IEC. Do you say that it is not used in the U.S.?

So sorry, I've known this connector as a IEC 60320, but after looking it up, you are correct, it is a C13. C13 is one of many covered by IEC 60320. I had to look it up to confirm your number.

The temperature is also a factor in my area, because we often get to 40°C in the summer.
