| irfp260n & lm317t from china real or fake? |
| (1/1) |
| A7X:
My question is if these irfp260 and lm317t from China are real or fakes. for 10 pcs lm317 I paid 1 € and for 10 pcs irfp260 I paid 3.3 €. I have already tested the lm317 at 2a (works without problems ) and the rds on the irfp 260 also looks real. sorry for my bad english :D |
| Benta:
I'm astounded that people buy this stuff, I'd never do it myself to save a few euros. I only buy from sellers with a documented supply chain = authorized distributors. The money saved brings 10 x the frustration. But OK, cheapness has no limits, I guess. |
| wraper:
LM317 is certainly fake, wrong ST logo. irfp260 regardless of being genuine or not are salvaged used parts. Leads are too short and obviously retinned. EDIT: nope they are not too short but still they are at least retinned. Don't look like how they should be out of factory. Try bending the lead (front-back) while holding the case. If they are welded on, should break near to the case in wider part. |
