Bifilar wirewound can provide about zero inductance |

And you think that you get a >=300W Resistor with bifilar windings for under 20$? Sorry to disappoint you. |

Offtopic: but ... one day i pass by garage sale , an old man selling some old de-soldering parts, he was so convinced that old 90-x can of foil caps cost 100x more then $5 ... shaking some dusty old parts catalog :) cost of making parts are nothing now .... (it up when spec's need to follow) i have such green resistor in 20W 10ohm only type, it blow up when i push over 120W from audio amplifier to the single resistor :) even 60W it holds with heatsink ... |

Have you ever seen how those wire wound power resistor blow? Well here you go That by the way is NOT a cheap chinese part, it is a quality ARCOL part commonly used in automotive industry. My colleague was also surprised to see it blow that way, he told me they normally just shoot the wire and terminal out of the sides at high velocity ! |
