Load switch
« on: February 02, 2020, 09:45:35 am »
Hello,

I want to use a load switch in order to disconnect the battery from the rest of the system. The load switch has a enable pin that could be driven with uC GPIO. My question is while my uC is also in the load side how could it set the enable pin to high in order to enable the load switch while it doesn't get power yet??

Thanks for your answers

Maybe something like a push button, that overrides the input to the load switch from the power source. WHen pushed, it will temporary allow power to the MCU, giving it enough time to output the signal to the enable pin itself, and keep running when the push button is released.

You need a path to supply the uC, have a look here for the inspiration:

TI also has a chip that periodically wakes up the MCU (or triggers the switch) and then it goes back to sleep. Let me google it first.

@GromBeestje
But that will not be an automated solution. I need an automated solution that's why. Thanks

@Warhawk
But the problem that i need to use the load switch in order to isolate the uC and all the system together. If I supply the power to uC directly from the power source that will not be effective for my device. Thanks
