I have purchased a UL listed J1722 charging lead, but I have no "brainbox"
I've seen an arduino based controller, so I bought the parts, made the circuit, and went to program it... And it won't compile. Nice.
Then I found a website selling a controller for... 200 bucks??? Nice.
From what I can see, its really just a square wave signal and a couple passives and semiconductors. But why is it so hard and expensive to get the darn controller made? Do any of you EV owners with a J1772 port have an easy way to get the silly thing to charge?
