Equivalent to 5A Solar Panel Up to 300V? [SOLVED]
« on: August 06, 2024, 07:43:53 am »
Hello,

I wonder what the simplest topology (efficiency is not important) could be for a 5A DC current source whose open voltage could be up to 300Vdc.
I guess having a 24Vdc supply (a power battery for example) is better than starting with 220Vac (50Hz).

Thank you,
Kerim

Let us recall that DC voltage source to DC voltage supply is rather easy to do.
But, as you likely found out, DC voltage source to DC current supply is not easy at all.
Cheers.

Thinking out of the box, it became possible to find a practical topology/circuit for this special tester/tool (by emulating a solar panel in order to test various repaired solar inverters).
