JST type connector identification
« on: July 03, 2019, 02:19:42 pm »
Hi,

I'm trying to find the correct connector to connect a BEITIAN GPS :

The vendor descirption state it is a 4 pin 1.25mm connector, that's all. Maybe the JST SM04B-GHS-TB connector could work but it seems a bit different...

Other possibilities :
Molex 530470410
Hirose DF13-4P-1.25DS

Looks like a Molex Picoblade.

Wikipedia has this page dedicated to JST connectors and we have a table with the different sizes. It looks like you need a JST-GH connector for 1.25mm pitch. You can find these on ebay or aliexpress if you can wait the long delivery time.

The GH has a latch, so no, it's not a JST GH.

I think this connector will work for you.

I'm looking for the PCB side connector reference. I will try to sample some Molex and JST connector to try. But the JST is different from the one mounted on the GPS PCB so I guess this is not a GH serie connector.

If the pitch is 1.50mm then the connector is likely a JST-ZH series.

If you ignore the fact that they look nothing alike:

Again, this looks like a Picoblade:

Sorry, I missed the text under the picture which stated 1.25mm.  I was going by the general appearance of the female housing shape in the picture.
