DRO design?

Hi,
I would like to make a DRO (dielectric resonator oscillator). I have some of those ceramic resonators here, for different frequencies - 2.5 GHz, 10 GHz, 12 GHz.
I once made a DRO, but it was more or less designed empirically, and I assume I was just lucky that it worked :-) so I wonder whether there is a more systematic way.
Is there anybody here who has experience with DROs?
