Hi,
In my workshop I have 12 LED lighting battens and the some of the drivers have failed.
In side there is 2 aluminium PCB with a 72 LED on each PCB as ‘current’ Schematic.
I am looking the get some constant current led driver to replace them.
is it there any problem wiring as ‘option 1’ Schematic or is it best as ‘option 2’ Schematic.
With option 2 I would have to modify the all PCBs, so a lot more work.

Option 1 will work just fine as long as the halves have the same current rating.

Hi,
Yes all the LED are the same.
They are L128-5090EA3500001 as i replaced all 1728 them 2 year ago.
Look to replace driver with some 35w Osram Optotronic Intelligent Dali, they can be set to any current and are dimmable.

The question I should have asked is:
What is the better circuit design Schematic 1 or Schematic 2

Have them in series, there's no guarantee the matching between the boards would ensure an even current split when wired in parallel.

You've posted many schematics. The one you refer to as Schematic 2 is not the correct one. Here's the right way to do it.
