Has anyone bought this book on LTSPICE IV
« on: November 07, 2014, 01:36:49 pm »
I came across this book,

http://www.we-online.com/web/en/electronic_components/produkte_pb/fachbuecher/Trilogie_1.php

Has anyone got it, read it or know of any reviews on it? Wondering if its worth buying.

Thanks

Trev

A wurth rep showed me a copy, was hoping for a freebie but had to settle for a few LEDs and inductors - lol.

The author is supposed to be an expert and wurth sponsored him or something to write the book, 660 pages is a lot of information. LTSpice isn't well documented so if you use it a lot and like things made out of trees I expect it is worth the money.

Yeah, same happened to me but they did not even show me a copy. I just got a flyer and I hinted a bit but no book. Just some leds...

I think if it is really useful and simulation does have a place to help with design work its worth the investment. So much time can be wasted in fumbling around trying to learn stuff. I could book can really help.

I did get a copy from a Wurth rep. I haven't had the time to read it properly but I have looked up a couple of things in it and it answered the questions I needed.

It was a shame that the ever growing group of users (1,600,000,000 worldwide at the beginning of 2011) did not have the benefit of a book dedicated to LTspice IV.

Wow, according to them LTSpice is more popular than Facebook  :-DD :scared:  :-DD

I don't know how in-depth you are looking for re: LT Spice. However I remember Afrotechmod has a great introductory 3 part YouTube on LT Spice.

Here's the link to part 3. ( This may too basic, I enjoyed it though)

hi

I have the book and, well, I felt like I was reading a printed copy of the Help file. :-|

It's written more as a reference book for an advanced user than for a beginner.
