Lexmark toner cartridge EEPROM IC recognition
(1/1)
sdancer75:
Can someone recognize the EEPROMs below and point any link with datasheets? Both of them are used in Lexmark's C530dn color laser printer as a security for their toner cartridges.
The SO-8 belongs to the Lexmark original one while the SO-20 from a 3rd party refilled cartridge.

Maybe some hints from this thread ??

I have already read it but it's totally different EEPROM.

Is really a microcontroller or just another EEPROM?
Of course a 20pin IC tends to be microcontroller but why? They could use instead a standard commercial EEPROM.
Is there a web site that I can find those reverse engineering communication between printer and security chip?
