After a five-year break, I come back to this topic, still unsolved, but with great progress.

I  have seen that the market for  toner chips has evolved, and while they were around 25$ when I started this thread,  I could buy some for just 4€ here

I tested it, and it works.

The chip is not at all as in the site picture, but more like the original Lexmark chip.

JP3 : Vdd
JP4 : SDA




But what is this chip ?  Can anybody guess from the pinout  and find a datasheet ?

I asked Chat GPT, but although he  made some effort, he was not able to say more than stating that it was a I2C eeprom.

i have lexmark ms410d imprimante but my toner imprimanta is empty, i would to programmer the puce TI046B1 of the toner .

I established these connections for reading the TI046b1 chip using a Pickit 2 programmer.

Guys, you can write information in the chip by resetting all the counters, but you will not be able to reuse the chip in the printer, since the printer remembers the serial number of the chip (which is signed)and the number of printed copies, all you can do is exchange information from your chip or if you hacker you can modificate firmware. Original chip can be completely rewritten with new data, but it is microcontroller which listen only command for it programmed (toner, drum or developer if chip present in printer)

If you able to read so you can also write, it is not problem in electric circuit. Commands beginning for read toner: 0xf0 , 0x01 , 0x01 , 0x00 , 0x00 for write toner: 0xf0 , 0x01 , 0x02 , 0x20 , 0x00 for read drum 0xf0 , 0x05 , 0x01 , 0x20 , 0x00 for write drum: 0xf0 , 0x05 , 0x02 , 0x20 , 0x00 (For MS5xx )
