Approach for IoT project
« on: February 11, 2020, 05:50:13 am »
Hello,

I'm getting into the world of IoT. I want to start a project where I'd like to automate some current sources. Basically I would have a CT measuring source output current into the device under test (DUT). This is the process:

1. Scan DUT and current source ID and send it to some database. I would like to have a GUI to enter some parameters and also send it to the database.
2. Start DUT test. Measure current source output and send the current data to database for graphic and calculations purposes.

Basically I'm just looking for potential suggestions on IoT protocols, database, GUIs, and microcontroller for CT measurement. I'm trying to define an ecosystem.

I would appreciate any suggestions from people experienced in IoT.

I'm building my own ecosystem around the TI CC1352 chip using their 15.4 stack. Essentially uc/radio daughterboards that hook up to whatever sensor/controller, etc, you have. The collector runs on a linux system (in this instance a Raspberry Pi), running a React front-end. I don't do this professionally, but happy to discuss. FWIW.
