Looking for bench power supply suggestions

Konkedout:
My idea is to start with an old 18V - 20V laptop power supply.  I have a bunch of those lying around.  I have designed my own adjustable SEPIC DC/DC converter to follow that with.  I think there must be buck boards around or build something.  But...the AC-DC part of it is the most difficult, and I think those laptop supplies are plentiful; lying around..
