Looking for design suggestions for a Bluetooth 'Hub'
« on: August 29, 2020, 04:09:37 am »
Hiya all.

Im looking for ideas for a home project for a Bluetooth HUB.

My problem is I have a smart tv that only allows ONE bluetooth device at a time,
but I have two pensioners who need BT headphones.
So my idea is a BT 'hub' that links to the TV as a reciever, and is capable of linking to
two (or more) devices (eg headphones) as a 'multi-channel' transmitter.

My electronics skills are fair to middling, so I am after a design that is largely splicing
together various modules to achieve my result.   Im good with through-hole work,
but try to keep SMD off the table.  My eyesight aint what it used to be.
I also USED to be able to program MCUs,  but Im going to be VERY rusty with that.

But if you have any ideas/suggestions that are beyond my skills,  mention them anyway
as I am not afraid of a challenge...

So if anyone has any projects out there, or even 'finished' units, please link me to them too.

I am also open for further discussion here for any suggestion of clarification.

Thanks muchly,
