looking for GOOD signal relays
« on: September 11, 2018, 09:43:31 am »
I`m looking for GOOD  signal relays
for signals up to at least 100kHz
minimal resistance and capasitanse required

What common models will be ok for me?

Thanx

On the top of my head:  FTR-B3 series from Fujitsu/Takamisawa.
Datasheet: https://www.fujitsu.com/downloads/MICRO/fcai/relays/ftr-b3.pdf
They specify it to have max 75mOhms of initial resistance but I can't find any capacitance specs.
Insulation and insertion loss vs frequency is specified ( attached screencaps from the FTR-B3 datasheet )
It is specified for at least 1MHz so at 100kHz it will perform even better
If you need better frequency characteristics then you would need to use a RF relay and they are expensive.
You might also find something even cheaper that suits your application.

I've been using these - MSS21A12 - for over 25 yrs. They have mercury, so you know they're good :-) .. elcodis.com/parts/5358447/MSS21A12B.html#datasheet
Capacitance - 1.5 / 3.0pF     Contact Resistance ~50-75mR   200Hz   500x10^6 + operations
If they're suitable, I have many tubes at EOL you can have, only ~10-20 million operations left - I run them at 5Hz 24/7 for ever :-) picking up RFID
It's cheaper to give them away than the cost of recycling mercury !!
There are dozens of other types in their catalogue as well.
Hello <tap> <tap> .. is this thing on?

there are also RF relays which are coaxial and shielded and everything
