Looking for LP IoT module for Smart Home
« on: February 03, 2020, 09:34:01 am »
Hello, I look for IoT module for my smart home project.
Requirements to the module are:
- distance range approx. 150m max. (free space) but it must work reliably in space between three floors in a house and from house to garden (mentioned 150m).
- network structure I intend 5-10 nodes that communicate in a way "there and back" with a gateway. Point to point in a star topology. In one time communicates only one node. Mesh isn't required.
- Consumption 5-10uA in sleep or standby mode, max tens of mA in Tx or Rx mode. Minimum radio time. The node should work 1 year on 2 x 18650 battery cells.
- Easy to use USART with AT is prefered but could be SPI or I2C. Condition is easy and reliable drivers from the producer.
- Cost maximum 15 euro for one piece of the module
- Data node will transmit just a few bytes, the maximum number of bytes is 50.

I think ESP is overkill and has big consumption. Maybe something in band 433 or 868MHz.

Thank you for suggestions of a particular module.
