Title: Looking for some ideas for high power LED driver (up to 150W constant current)
Post by: Miyuki on August 16, 2016, 08:21:00 am
Hi,
I need to drive serial connected led modules with full current 1700mA and total power will be up to 150W, input will be 230V AC
It should have dimming input signal like 0-5V or similar
It don't have to be isolated so simple buck converter can be used

Have anyone experience with similar driver ? (Or if can I buy it ready for use cheap then where)
What control IC and other components should I use ?

Dimming can be added in a semi-obvious manner.  I make no guarantees about other specs, as-is. :P

DIY with a few more bells and whistles:have a look at Power Integrations stuff. They top out at 75W, though, so you may need 2.

Off the shelf, cheap and somewhat decent: Meanwell, something like http://www.meanwell.com/webapp/product/search.aspx?prod=ELG-150 (http://www.meanwell.com/webapp/product/search.aspx?prod=ELG-150)

That Mean Well look nice, just 200W variant constant current is not so cheap it cost almost double than 150W and that don't have enough voltage in constant current mode  :-\

I was originally thinking about something simple like AL9910 based driver
