L293D as MOSFET driver

Hi all,
I finally gave up after one month of looking for mosfet driver here in Iraq :(
so, I decided to use L293D as mosfet driver. what are the considerations shall I take while using it as mosfet driver ?

Eww, the cure is worse than the symptom!

Can you get regular bipolar transistors (say, BC846, 2N4401, 2SC1815 and complements)?

I think I can get these components, but it will be large for 3-phase inverter
