LTC3130-1 reverse current
« on: November 01, 2019, 08:50:31 pm »
I am using a LTC3130-1 in one of my project, and I power an nRF52840 with it.

In the doc of the nRF52840 there is this part:
Quote
If the antenna is exposed to a strong NFC field, current may flow in the opposite direction on the supply due to parasitic diodes and ESD structures.
If the battery used does not tolerate return current, a series diode must be placed between the battery.

I'd like to keep high efficiency (that's why I use the LTC3130-1), and I was wondering if I needed a protection. I have an LTC4162-F behind the LTC3130-1 which handle the battery charging.

Do you have any recommendations?
