Lesson 4c is online:
LTspice Lesson 4c discussed creating a waveform using a handful of discrete points, but by using PWL FILE as shown below, large number of points can be easily imported into LTspice simulator to generate more sophisticated waveforms. In this lesson, we will create a practical system level ESD stimulus waveform as specified in IEC61000_4_2. Data points will created from an equation in IEC61000_4_2 standard using a Matlab script (download at the end if you interested).

My grandson is scheduled to take a circuit analysis course next semester even though he is in the ME program. I am certain that your tutorials will be of great assistance.

Yes these tutorials are meant for EE students or any one involve in electronic who is not afraid of diving deep into math, although math can be omitted if your goal to get some experience with simulation.

The math thing isn't a big deal for either of us. He is finishing his Differential Equations class this week. The university he is attending offers MATLAB as a required course early in the program. They use it for all of the classes. I'm a little rusty...
I'm not sure where his circuits course will go. After all, it's an ME program, not EE. Nevertheless, circuits gets us to Laplace and Laplace gets us to Control Systems and every ME better know Controls.
