Am n00b - Installing line level input on amp - PLZ HLP
« on: October 18, 2018, 02:24:55 am »
I have a Vandersteen 2W powdered subwoofer.
The amp only have high-level inputs.
I want to install a mono low line level RCA input.

The amp looks like this

The 3 main components on the PCB are

1. RC4136N http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/rc4136.pdf
2. PC1298V https://4donline.ihs.com/images/VipMasterIC/IC/NECE/NECED020/NECED020-1298V-1.pdf
3. Motorola MDA-2502 Bridge Rectifier

It looks like a simple circuit but I'm a total n00b so I don't know where to start.
Please help.

I don't know the answer, but the capacitors appear to be very damaged. If so, they will need to be replaced.
