Title: micro ribbon cable "tap"
Post by: sarepairman2 on December 29, 2015, 02:18:37 am
Does anyone sell a connector which can be used to "tap" a ribbon cable?

i.e. there is a ribbon cable going from one component to the main PCB on a cell phone. Let's say you wanna put a logic analyzer on it. Does anyone make pass through connectors that can be tapped off to a sniffer PCB?

For those tiny ribbon cables found in cell phones and such.

They are nearly all device specific, and you'd need a breakout board with two sockets on it + a compatible extender cable, so even if you find a solution for one product, its unlikely to be much help for anything else.
