Minimal Keypad enclosure
« on: May 02, 2016, 12:45:56 pm »
Hi Guys :)
I was hoping for some ideas, and maybe someone else had encountered similar.
A 12 key numeric keypad from RS needs an enclosure with a battery compartment and slide cover, but no screen cutout.
I could have a piece of acrylic laser cut including holes to make a flat panel for the keypad to suit any enclosure.

It’s for a hobby project, but some investment has gone in and I don’t want that handheld case from Jaycar which would be ideal!
RS seems to only have generic handheld enclosure with LCD cutout that could be covered, but the face of the enclosure is curved.

I don’t want the case a great deal bigger than a numeric alarm style keypad and it’s batteries. The PCB fits behind the keypad.
Is there something out there for one off units someone has used?
Cheers, Art.
