Connector help?
« on: March 13, 2019, 07:59:42 am »
Hi

I've misplaced some cables for a piece of equipment, so hoping to make a new set up - but I'm struggling to identify the connector type used, I was hoping someone here might recognise it ...

Its 50 pin, it has 2.54mm pitch and reminds me a lot of a d-type (even with the latching ears) but the top / bottom rows aren't offset like you'd normally see with a d-type connector...

Thanks in advance

Matt.

SCSI I think, I've got a piece of equipment with a 60 pin connector, never found the mating half (probably haven't looked very hard though).

It's certainly the *style* used for SCSI-II, however those were much smaller physically.

That is not a SCSI connector. The ones with the DSUB style plug have offset pin rows, and while i do not remember the pin count, i'm sure they also were smaller. The newer SCSI connectors have a smaller pin spacing, as is visible in the screenhot of beanflying. I think in his link the 2.54mm spacing refers to the PCB pins.

Can you tell us what that card is? Looks like an old ISA bus card. I have never seen such a connector without offset pins.

Maybe if you had taken a better-framed, better-lit picture of the connector? I can't see *any* pins.
