Hi.
I have a EVF with OLED model ECX334A.
I want to replace the micro-OLED with a normal LCD/OLED panel.
Please look at the 4 pictures:
1. Board with connector to host and convertor chip 358762G.
2. Detail for the 30-pin host connector.
3. Back of the micro OLED.
4. Socket and connector for the micro OLED.
I think if there's anything off-shelf compatible with either connector, it would be sweet.
Or in worst case, how can I enlarge the micro OLED optically so I don't need to push my eyeball into the tiny window?
Thanks.

Datasheet added in the later post.

Didin't find a datasheet for it but found a product page for a similar unit that says it uses LVDS/sub-LVDS:

https://www.sony.com/en/SonyInfo/News/Press/201805/18-049E/

Probably you'll need to reverse engineer it with a scope, but as the resolution is fairly standard you can probably use a LVDS to HDMI converter:

Even if you get a bigger screen    the coding is made for an X by X resolution, you wont get a better one if you resize the display, but you'll see the display better up to a point ...

Thank you.
Mine use "RGB 24bit/YCbCr 16bit": https://www.sony-semicon.co.jp/e/products/microdisplay/oled/product.html
Combined with 358762G, I guess it's digital, so RGB signal is likely.
Do I have to get a scope for this? I don't have one...

Thanks, that's what I need, just a bigger one with same resolution.

It’s difficult, I have the data sheets for the A and C variants and there’s a few subtleties to the interface including some which are programmed for the application. I will be at my computer tomorrow and can send some print screens of the pin out but I cant share the data sheets as they are under NDA. I can also let you know what to look out for. I think youre definitely going to need some FPGA between this driver and the new display. It’s not an easy plug and play project.

Thank you Boscoe.
FPGA is beyond my skill level  :-//
So will it be easier to take the signal before the 358762G, from the host?

I'm very interested in those pinouts too please!

Here's the datasheet of a similar model ECX334AF, I don't know what's the difference between them.
Are there any off-the-shelf replacement for it?

Oh hell yeah, been lookin for a datasheet like this for AGES. Thanks a ton!

Ok, looks like it's bog standard RGB 888 or YCbCr88, so in theory if you tap those signals and break them out, should be pretty trivial to port out to a different display.

Could you tell me a little bit more details, like how can I archive this? Sorry I'm not as experienced as you guys...
