Need to find SPDT SWITCH
dhumx:
Hi all, I'm trying to build a project has 2 local osc that generate frequencies on VHF. The 2 local osc must be connected to a SPDT switch, the spdt switch that I would like to have is the one that can be drived by the clock of arduino. Is there any SPDT switch that do the job? I have no idea what switch to use since all the SPDT switch I have worked before are all mechanical.
wnorcott:
Have you looked at the CD4053 or its lower voltage variant, the 74HC4053 ? That is three, SPDT electronic switches on a chip each driven by a logic level signal.
The -3dB frequency is 150-160 MHz so although that is VHF does not cover the entire frequency range of VHF.
Teledog:
Skyworks, among others, make them..kHz to gHz.
Search Digi-key or eBay for Skyworks spdt
Benta:
The 4053 will have major crosstalk/feedthrough problems.
Check Vishay/Siliconix for good analog switches.
