Post by: Arsh ahmad on November 04, 2024, 05:15:44 am
Hi all,
I want to create my own System in Package device, with Arm processor as few sensors, need to know contact of any Chinese or any other OEM that support providing Arm processor DIEs at lower quantities. Since Initially I only want to make 10 of them.

I doubt anyone will bother unless you have a big company standing behind you and could commit to bigger batches.

Normally they all will want at least a full wafer order, which would cost $5k-10k, which is not that much compared to the cost of packaging equipment.

You have any contacts if they can support a full wafer

Have you consider using WCSLP package instead of direct die?
Anyway some manufacturers do offer diesale. Just contact them directly, who knows.

I don't know in the Arm world, but if RISC-V is ok then the CTO of WCH is quite responsive to queries on twitter or email. He's told me they can even customise their chips for minimum 1 wafer orders (plus NRE costs, obviously). https://x.com/patrick_riscv
