negative power supply
electros6:
I just need negative bench top power supply from 0 to -25V. Somebody tell me how to control negative voltage using transistor. please post some schematics
Dave:
You do realize voltage is just the difference of two potentials?
Just use a regular 0-25V power supply and connect the positive terminal to your circuit ground.
tree:
Keep in mind to make sure you know which outputs are floating and which grounds are earth grounds.
For instance, you wouldn't want circuit ground connected to earth ground and the power supply has its negative output (black terminal) connected to the earth terminal and then you connect the positive output (red terminal) to the circuit ground. Then you'll get a short.
amyk:
Isn't something which supplies negative power usually called a load? :D

The voltage is negative and so is the current. The power output, however, is positive.
P=U*I <-- Two negatives give a positive.
