new workbench

what do you think of my new workbench design for electronic work. It has 6 drawers 29*29*6.5. and it is 78*66.5*28 . It has 16*78 working area

If you have a choice, more thin drawers are much more space efficient.  The vast majority of items you will put in the drawer will be less than 2" high. In your example, changing the top two drawers on both sides to 4 drawers 3.25 high will be much more usefull.  You would then have 8 drawers 3.25 high and 2 drawers 6.5 high.  FWIW

Shale:
you might thing about making your shelves deeper. Nice deep shelves are always nicer than thin shelves. Also, go ahead and design in several power plug spots on your bench, makes it a lot nicer than having to go through surge protectors. Also think about the lighting in your area. If it is not so great, you can incorporate it in to your desk design.
