Hello World,
I have a NPS-250KB F power supply (date code: 0423, rev: 03) out of a Dell Dimesion Tower. I have watched every tutorial and read every article I could about converting this PSU into a bench power supply. I am at my wits end because no matter what I do, I cannot get the darn thing to turn on. |O So far I have tried the following:
Shorted the green "remote" wire to Ground. It is showing 5V when open, 0V when shorted
Added a 10W resistor on the red 5V rail, yellow 12V rail, purple 5VSB rail, and every combination between (5V & 12V, 12V & 5VSB, and 5VSB & 5V & 12V)
I have shorted and added a LED with 220ohm resistor on the grey Power good (PG)
I have good mains voltage at 120V
The only signs of life I get from the PSU is from the 5VSB rail, it has good power and will heat the 10W resistor.
I have a SPST switch with a LED indicator, when I short the remote (green) to ground (black), the indicator LED will turn on.
Am I missing something simple?
Thank you all,
