Paradox EVO192 - Home automation
(1/1)
montyx:
Long story short, I'd like to connect my EVO192 panel to my OpenHAB ecosystem, and I have some issues.
The details:
I have a new flat, and my uncle, who is an oldschool security expert lend me an EVO192 panel to test with my OpenHAB server. I felt luck, because I knew that this panel has a relatively good support by some great mind, who already reverse engineered the serial communication of the system.
My current setup on a plywood is the EVO192 board itself. It's connected to the main line with a transformer. I have a K32LCD keypad connected already, and a reed door switch for testing reasons. The system is blank, I've got it without setup of the zones, so this is on factory default. I connected my computer with an FTDI module to the board serial port. Installed the BabyWare software to configure the board.
On the end, my plan or to connect an ESP8266 NodeMCU to the serial with a logic level converter, and my RPI can communicate with the panel over WiFi, or with an Arduino Nano, and an ENC28J60 Ethernet shield (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000275319136.html) for better security.
Fortunately as I mentioned there are more solution to connect the EVO192 to my OpenHAB. What I prefer is the PAI project:
https://github.com/ParadoxAlarmInterface/pai
It has a great gitter community, and supports most of the features of the Paradox panels.
I have an issue now. I was able to connect the board to my PC, and the BabyWare can see the board. It accepts the Panel ID, and password, but after then it's going to hang on the next step:
--- Code: ---Installer login
--- End code ---
.
What can cause this issue? I hope I have an expert around who can help me out.
Thanks in advance!
