PCB connector type
« on: July 10, 2024, 12:16:14 pm »
Hi, do you think it is possible to buy this 6P 2mm pitch connector (the white one on the right side with wires) but through hole or smt version for PCB?

I would like to make a little PCB adapter with this connector which plugs into the white connector on the PCB on the left side.

This is a JST PH or XH type wire to board connector. As far as I know, they only come in wire to board variations.
You can buy a small wire assembly and place the same connector on your board.

Just use plain 2mm header socket strip -- you'll have to check that it fits within the receptacle, but I think there should be enough room for that.  You won't have polarization (at least without some additions or tricks) but it won't be well supported anyway and piggybacking on nearby screw holes or something (spacer + screw) is likely needed for support, and that solves polarity just fine. Otherwise, just remember which way it goes.

I need the adapter to be pluggable to the current PCB without any modifications to the PCB. If the connector is not available then I will make some messy wire harness... Thanks

you have kits with housings and crimp-able pins ???     or as posted already made cables ... length .... pin-count ...

and your connector is not a complicated one ... Ebay has many brand / kits ....
