Hello all, I am super new in Analog Design field and I have a lot of problems understanding how things work with Cadence and sometimes with electronics. I have to simulate the start-up of a Pierce Oscillator with Cadence, but I don`t know what this thing means for the circuit itself. Thanks! |

Cadence? Yuck. I hate that software. I have it installed at work. I used it for a couple of projects, just layout, not simualtion and didn't get on with it. The user interface is very clunky. For simulation, I've always used LTSpice. |

..and you may find Clapp/Colpits/Pierce in the LTSpice examples.. |

It is mandatory to use Virtuoso. |
