My PCB's Were Delivered in Less Than a Week!

I ordered them from PCBWAY last Sunday on Christmas Eve and received them Friday morning.  I shipped DHL so that definitely helped but I'm impressed either way.

These are boards for my Electromechanical ESP32 Clock.  It will have 6 Alfa Zeta Mechanical Digits and 46 Relays. The matte green prototype board in the video will be a Decimal-Binary-Hexadecimal Converter.

I would not use those ganged component boxes.  They are nice and handy, but if you drop a part when picking it up and it falls into the adjacent box,  you are screwed... particularly with caps that are not marked.   Opening and closing the lids when switching between parts helps, but can slow you down.   On some the lids do not totally seal the compartment and parts can sneak under the lid into the adjacent one.  Also on a lot of them the lids / hinges / snaps tend to break.

I use "medicine cups" and mark the part value on the side with a marker pen.

Yeah, they're not the best quality.  I usually leave them all closed and only open the component I'm placing.  I had them open for the video for people to see but I use box-all smd compartments for more permanent storage.  The snaps on those are really strong compared to the cheap ones I use for temporary storage.

That's a problem with a lot of these.  When you open the snap the shock can cause parts to jump out and if the adjacent compartment is open bad thinks can happen.

I got tuned into the potential hazards of ganged parts bins when a friend messed up a batch of boards because parts found their way into the adjacent bins.

That's impressive especially because it is during the holidays.
But if it's just PCBs and not PCAs, then PCBWell would be faster. You'd get 4 layer boards in 4 days and 2 layers boards in two days! :-)

I'd also be wary about the type of material the boxes are made of. If they're not ESD-safe, then I think sticking mosfets into the boxes and then shaking them would generate enough static charge to destroy your components. I just leave the components in their tape. It's a bit slower during assembly, but I'd say assembly is the thing you want to be slow and careful with!

Please be aware that a dim view is taken on anything that appears to promote PCB manufacturers particularly PCBway that have aggressively targeted this forum with sophisticated attempts at appearing to be genuine users giving genuine feedback and most members here won't trust anything bearing their name as far as it can be slung.
