Hi All,
Would really appreciate if anyone could help me identify the IC as in the photo.
It's a boost controller in an MSOP package. I've had a good look but can't find anything for this.

The ZC5 marking and VSSOP-8 packages are consistent with an LMC555
http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lmc555.pdf
and given that it's an oscillator, it could be used as a simple DC-DC converter.
