| Power supply conversion for a simple analog project |
| (1/1) |
| bsas:
Hi all, Sorry for the very beginner/dumb question. I have a nice analog circuit that works fine for my needs (basically a white noise / pink noise generator) that works on +15V/GND/-15V DC power requirements and drains very little power (far less then 40mA). But, I was thinking about "boxing it" on a guitar pedal box and use regular guitar pedal power supplies, that are +9V/GND DC. So, is there any simple circuit I can do to make a (+9V/GND) to (+15V/GND/-15V) power rail? I was thinking about getting two "DC-to-DC" boost circuits and connect the (-)OUT side of one to the (+)OUT of the other and set each boost to 15V. Something cheap like this but I really don't know if that will work: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CNQPN94/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Thanks! |

Do a search in Mouser or Digikey for a DC to DC converter. These are very common. Mouser has this. 9 volts in +/- 15 volts out. It may meet your needs. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/RECOM-Power/RY-0915D?qs=sGAEpiMZZMvGsmoEFRKS8PNQK9Wr5ol%2FsW2YwSn9uUQ%3D |
