Hi,
I need to integrate a small power supply device (12V@2A) for one of my projects.
The voltage line will be further regulated programmatically via MCU (2-9V range). The maximum output current is 1A (peak), 0.3A (average).

My plan is to include, at the last stage of the power solution, an additional ripple filter.
Anyway, it would be better to have as the first stage of the power solution a commercial module with a relative small ripple in order to improve the quality of the MCU control.

Price and size are also important and I started looking for cheaper solutions at ebay, such as this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Adapter-12V-2A-DC-Regulated-Power-Supply-Transformer-New-/120951137560?

However, it seems that such devices are used for LED applications with non-critical ripple requirements.
Can you suggest a balanced solution for this case?

Thanks
