Found a good deal on a PCI-4472 (8 channel 104kS/s 24 bit ADCs) and built a little ITX computer around it so I could play around with a couple of triaxial accelerometers, but I'm trying to find the best software to be using for basic visualization, analysis, and recording. Is there anything free/open source that will get me started with this that isn't written for Labview or Matlab? I tried NI's DAQExpress as well, but while it supports the four channel 4474 and the two channel 4461, it doesn't appear to recognize my card. I've also tried Spectrum Lab, but it doesn't seem to recognize the card as an input source... I wonder if Audacity could figure it out.
I'm looking for relatively basic display options including:
Scope style waveform display
Scope roll mode display
FFT display (with waterfall chart is a bonus)
Recording and recall capability
Ideally, also on all 8 channels at once
Does anyone have a go-to program they use for this kind of thing? Or has anyone coded up their own to integrate with the VISA drivers? Free preferred, but I can pay a little if it's good software and not a yearly license.
