Low Power Optical Mouse Sesor??
« on: August 27, 2016, 02:12:47 pm »
Hi All,

I was hoping someone could help point me in the right direction to find a low power sensor to use in an optical mouse. Avago did produce a line that seemed interesting but all appear to now be obsolete. I have now been looking at this range http://www.avagotech.com/products/optical-sensors/integrated-ambient-light-and-proximity-sensors/ but I get the feeling that these are a bit overkill for a mouse. Really for this application power is a big concern.

Anyway, if anyone has any input it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Those are not Doppler or image sensors, they won't be able to do surface tracking.

I'd assume the Philips sensors are lowest power, but I'm not certain.
