Project case design? where to begin?

Hello people. I have often used off the shelf cases and then adapted them to my purposes. However, this time I want to step it up; I want to design a custom case. I want Dave to look here as well to give his input. I have access to cheap fabrication but I don't have mechanical engineers. This means that I don't have personnel who know auto cad and similar software to help me come with it.

However, does any one know of a solution to this problem; for instance, I would like to get in touch with a company who can help me design it. Its a good learning experience. Any ideas?

Alright! thts what im talking about!!! im going to learn this software and see where I get at. Also, thanks for reply Dave. I am sure you're busy with the whole myth buster thing..btw.. is that heading anywhere? I certainly hope so..it'll be nice to see you do some work with them and post here/youtube.

I might be mistaken, but I think April 1st is done for this year.
Sorry, the MythBusters are cool, but not cool enough for Dave.  :)
