Title: Protecting Port Sensors During PCBA Wash
Post by: KJeffriesTriad on October 03, 2024, 09:56:09 pm
Need advice on proven methods to protect a sensor port (BMP384) during PCBA wash with chemistry.  The rest of the PCBA must be completely free of flux for eventual potting/encapsulation or we would process everything no-clean.  We have tried kapton over the port, with a water proof peelable mask over the entire sensor.  Once cured, wash then peel the mask.  This only works marginally.  We have several sensors with damaged gel.  Thanks in advance.
