Hi -
I have a legacy project where I need to write some PS/2 firmware(mouse) for a client. The PS/2 interface has never had an official specification with a governing entity unlike USB (USB.org) although I have found plenty of literature on the subject. If I am wrong with this assertion please correct me. Anyway, I was hoping to find a software tool that would allow me to exercise my mouse PS/2 firmware and ensure that it will be *compliant*. I would have to believe that PS/2 device companies (Logitech, etc.) used something such as this when testing their PS/2 devices. They likely wrote their own custom software. There exists protocol analyzers for logic analyzers (I have one) but I want the software to have the ability to manually send/receive PS/2 host commands to a device (mouse, etc.).
So, in lieu of writing my own (which I don't have the time) software does any know of a tool similar to what I have describes?
Thanks for you help
Jim
