PSpice simulation for S-R Latch not stopping
« on: January 03, 2024, 01:54:06 am »
Guys happy new year. I have been trying to do simulation for SR latch built from nor gates in PSpice and I set the transient stop time to be 1000ns. However, the simulation do not stop at that time, and I checked the simulation window which says stopping at 0.01s. It will definitely take days for my computer to do that.

The nor gate used for simulation is SN74AHC02A from Texas Instrument and the model they provided is behavior model in .cir format. I tried to remove the SR latch circuit from the simulation or doing simulation just for a single nor gate, which all went normally.

Do you have any idea what's happening here? I'm very grateful for your help.

Try removing the trailing "s" in the "Run to time" edit field. (So just input "1000n".) I bet this trailing "s" confuses it. Yes, it shouldn't. Software. Let us know if that fixes it.

Unfortunately no. The behavior of simulator is mostly the same when s is removed.
