Title: Reasonably priced ZIF socket distributor?

ZIF sockets are shockingly expensive on Digikey. $13 for a run of the mill 24 pin zif socket :-//
Are there reputable distributors selling ZIF sockets for 24 or 28 pin dip packages for less? Adafruit has for cheaper but they usually upcharge their parts too.

It will be a fraction of the above cost. They sell under their brand of "ANDK".

But the above first linked website is the manufacturer of these sockets.

There’s a huge difference in quality between the cheap ones on AliExpress and name brand ones; Adafruit is likely reselling cheap ones.

I don’t know whether the ANDK brand is any good or not, but they don’t seem to sell DIP ZIF sockets.

Thanks. My experience with direct manufacturer purchasing is they want to sell large quantities to individuals. I wonder if some will sell low quantities like 50 to 100 pieces.

Great point. Quality matters for moving pieces like these.

Yes, they will. At least contact them. Worst case, go back to Digikey and pay their over inflated prices.
