Reliability of relays

Hi Guys,

I was using an Omron-made latching relay in one of my designs since 5 years. I have found an alternative part that costs half of the Omron. It is a Takamisawa relay. See the datasheets of both below.

It is used in a polarity switching circuit on 600V. When the relay is about to be switched, the voltage source is disabled, so the relay has to handle this voltage only when operation is done.

I have never had any problems with the Omron. Can I trust the Takamisawa relay? What is your opinion? Maybe they are made in the same factory, who knows...

relay life testing is pretty easy, just set it up in line with a constant current source at your ideal load, and just have it switch over and over and over, until the steady state voltage of the power supply gets high enough that its outside of resistance spec.

Cant speak for the other brand, just know I've never had any issues with omron either.
