reverse engineering: MC2 LED toy purse
« on: January 15, 2019, 02:16:54 am »
Big Clive recently did a video about a toy purse that has a RGB LED panel that can easily be reused.

What I wondered about is rather than reusing just the panel, maybe the controller can be reused as well. So I attached a logic analyzer to the I/O lines going into the mystery blob chip and captured some waveforms. I didn't go much further since the controller appears to be very limited, but maybe someone would like to take a look at the waveforms anyways.
Cryptocurrency has taught me to love math and at the same time be baffled by it.
